The weapons of war during the time of King David included things like sword; spear or javelin, knives, slingshot, bow and arrows, and a shield to protect the soldier. Here David tries on the traditional armor to fight Goliath, but abandons it to fight Goliath with only a slingshot and a staff (1 Samuel 17:31-58).
