The tribe of Reuben is sometimes symbolized by a branch with leaves; Simeon by a walled town; Levi by the bronze serpent which healed the Israelites, which has become a symbol of medicine today. Judah is symbolized by a lion, Issachar by a donkey and a sun and moon; and Zebulun by a ship.
